You need an agenda, do you have one, and you should use one … how you are using it…
Every day of our life is filled with many commitments and obligations which make our bodies get tired and weak. Things that take us away from what God really wants us to do with our lives.
We have jobs that absorb us. Most of the time we are very busy. On the other hand, if we are at home, we are very busy with cleaning, making food, making sure that everything is in order and do what is needed or needs to be done. If you’re a parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt you are probably too busy and worried about what to do with your children, the things that you have to do with them and what might happen to them and all the daily responsibilities we have. We want solve each problem and we would like to add more time to our day.
We are very busy because we are involved in many things and in many ways, and the result is often negative because it affects us in many areas of our spiritual life and family life. The result is pain and broken lives (marriage, children, siblings, etc.). In the end it becomes a burden and a lot of stress and it’s hard to have peace and even more to try to find a break.
We need rest, we need to take a break in our daily lives and include God in our day or in our agenda. We need time alone with God in stillness and rest to remember that God is in control and to enjoy the things that he is given us and not worry about having more time.
Remember the word, breath the word.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul”. Psalm 23.
“This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength” Isaiah 30:15
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” Jeremiah 33:3
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:11-13
Delight yourself in the Lord. Take the higher road and have peace. Take a mini-vacation for five to ten minutes. Stay alone and quiet and listen to what God says. Take time to be alone with God.
