At Singing Oaks we take the spiritual formation of children seriously. But learning about God and His grace and mercy don’t have to be boring! We believe God has created all children to be unique, and unique in the way they learn. We like to use a variety of teaching methods in our classrooms, including songs, skits, puppets, art, and drama.

Safety

Your child’s safety is very important to us. All teachers, assistants and teen helpers have submitted to a background check and completed a safety course. Two teachers are in every classroom. Each of the doors contain glass to allow to allow an unobstructed view of the activities in the classroom.

Birth – 24-months

Even the littlest ones at Singing Oaks are important to us! A staff of loving teachers and assistants begin to plant the seeds of God’s love with simple Bible stories.

2 years – Kindergarten

As toddlers grow into kindergarteners, their little hearts are filled with the stories of our faith, engaging senses through songs, crafts, and puppets.

1st – 4th Grade

Our elementary classes are located upstairs and follow a Rotation Model. The children rotate to a different class each week to take advantage of their unique learning styles.

Pre-Teen Ministry

For those “tweenagers” in 5th and 6th grades who are too old for our elementary classes but not quite ready for the youth group, we offer The Grove. Held upstairs in their own space, they begin to dig deeper into God’s word. An important point of this ministry is to begin to build relationships with each other. We believe a group of believers can find strength and protection with the bonds they forge with each other just like a grove of trees offers protection from the elements to the individual trees. In addition to their regular class times, The Grove hosts monthly activities to help nurture these relationships.

During Worship Services

We offer an attended nursery during both Sunday morning services for children birth through 2 years.

We offer a Children’s Worship for children ages 3-5 during the 2nd service, so that they may hear a lesson on their level, reinforced with songs, crafts, and other fun activities.

Children’s Library

Located outside the Worship Center, our Children’s Library is open on Sunday mornings. There is a simple check out procedure for books for toddlers through pre-teens.
